Significant works were carried out to both aisle roofs and major stonework repairs to the tower.
Internal works included new lighting to meeting rooms and re-painting to make these internal rooms more fit for purpose and to increase our community use.
The external works have secured this heritage building for many years to come and put the building in a very good state of repair.
We are grateful to all those who have contributed funds to make these works possible, including the major contribution which came via the Heritage Fund – money which is raised for charitable purposes from the National Lottery.
The Minster seeks to be a building open to all and this work has hugely assisted in this purpose.
